I found this dress an hour before at The ARC - It's a home made vintage gown!  CK Belt from Ross, heels (which you can't see) from TJMaxx.  I believe I will wear it again for my birthday!

From Multiplex by the incredibly wry and witty Gordon McAlpin.  This well-loved comic wraps up life's quirks, complaints, and both mundane and perfect moments in a wrapping paper of Now Playing in Theaters.  His take on How to Train Your Dragon was spot on.  Just what I needed to brighten my first day back from a week long vacation.

Profiling

I finally decided to man-up and finish my project concerning a certain spray-painted antique frame and photo.  Not gonna lie, incredibly proud of how this turned out!

I started with photos of our profiles which I printed and then cut out.  I then traced those onto the spray-painted picture, and rustled up some oil paints from previous paint-by-numbers and painted in those traces.

The result?

It looks so stinkin' cool in person!

We've spent a lot of time in front of the Christmas decorations playing Xbox and watching movies during our vacation, and in doing so I took very few photos.  So you'll have to live with pictures of Christmas goodness currently gracing the TV room at Quivas.

Kona can be very possessive after being taken on a walk and to the dog park; which happens a lot when you have the week off.  He loves his People. 

Casa Bonita!

There is really no way I can describe the Denver Experience that is Casa Bonita.  So I must refer you to Denver West World's blog (pardon the language) per Debra:

To Cure the Monday Blues

Except for I have today off, so I'm not really blue at all!

I'm a big boy now!

Kona has graduated from Puppy Preschool!  We've registered him for Mutt Middle School, after which comes Canine College!  Once he passes that, he can actually be certified to visit kids in the hospital.  He will be a part of the Prescription Pet Program!

We are such proud parents!   Look at that happy grin!

This week's thrift store finds

Thrift store hopping with my mom has ruined me to going alone!  I kept wanting to turn and say "Look at this!"  But alas, the lady next to me just thought I was crazy.

Very asian-intenstive designs today.  My favorite find was this stunning red silk shirt from Shanghai - still had the original tag in Chinese, and has the most-beautiful hand embroidered details all over it!

Then I found a Merona skirt for winter working, some soft cord pants from J.Jill, a couple of buton downs, two Limited sweaters for work, a new brown bolero sweater, and the sweetest floral sweater that is super soft!

And a new pair of coral leather shoes, an Old Navy shirt, and an American Eagle velvet blazer!

It was a very successful trip, as almost everything I found today was half off!  I found two vintage Samsonite suitcases and, of course, the usual stuffed animal kills for the Kona man.
