It's so dramatic and unrealistic. And oh so great now that I can read it online! *beam*

Word Picture
It's been a really long day. Being the 23rd Region in the rankings out of 23 has taken its toll on the zone managers, not to mention our management. We scrambling to figure out how we can claw our way out of dead last in the second half, and it's been an 11 hour day. I can't wait to get home, and I'm hungry. Traffic's terrible, as always on Mondays heading up I-25. And I wish it wasn't getting hot now in Denver. I feel stressed and pent up and just a little bit hopeless.
I'm taking the toll road; I deserve the 5 minute head start.
Get over into the toll lane; try not to think.
Wait. Is that a mushroom?!
I keep glancing to my left at the stalled traffic not quite lucky enough to have their tolls paid for by their company, trying to figure out why I keep seeing a mushroom stopped up ahead. Large, green and purple with big red spots. Yep, that is a mushroom. I begin to smile. It's sitting behind four car-sised ladybugs on the back of a truck, cute little yellow antannae, gleaming in the intense sun over the mountains.
That's a mushroom. Surrounded by lady bug cars.
I can't stop smiling, looking over to the west now that I've passed the 'shroom truck, unable to get to my camera fast enough in the driver's seat. God's giving a speech, as Mike says, raining sunlight down over the mountains through the peeling clouds.
It's a good day.

The Man Tear
What these two looked like from about 12:30 to 2:30...
What I did to keep myself entertained...
Tiny Sword Attaaaaaaaack! I won.
One Man Tear is allowed when your team gives up a game wherein they were up by two at half time. Sorry Mike...

"The smoke bombs fit in the cup holders perfectly!"
THE best test drive video I have ever seen, including the answers to such questions as "Is it easy to park?" and "Is it green?" and "What if I'm asked to take part in a beach assault by the Royal Marines?"

Stick It Where The Sun Don't Shine
I waas saying my goodbyes to my Greeley dealership today when everything went black in the parts department. I walked out to the service drive to find one incredibly confused storm. It drives me nuts when it's sunny and raining!

The birdies in the tree tops sing their song;
Step Child's in his cube, takin' too long...
It's great having friends that are used to you taking really dumb photos...and still like you anyway! :-)

Best. Day. Ever.
We broke with the tradition of the weekend (being staying in our PJs and playing video games - which was fanfreakintastic), got ready & summery and headed to The Orchard, an outdoor mall and community center that I love. We started at the Farmer's Market, where Mike found some BBQ sauce (he is the King of cooking), I found some beautiful cherries, and we both discovered jalapeno cheddar sausage. Seriously.
We walked hand-in-hand to Rock Bottom Brewery where we sampled summer drinks and nacho faire and realized that we were having the perfect day!
Basking in this, we bought tickets to "Up", and Mike took me to Forever 21 (yes, I'm too old, and I don't care). Mike also stole from a very tall mannequin, which was absolutely hilarious at the time...
I highly recommend "Up". Mike & I both cried (but don't tell him I told you). I love him so much; he is a man among men. And he looks cute in dork glasses!
See?! Tears! ;-)

$7 Steak
Mike decided it would be a good idea to make one HUGE steak that would last over several meals. It's unfortunate that we don't like our steak cooked the same way as I'm pretty sure it was still bleeding when he took it off the grill. Gross.

Such is Life
I woke up this morning to Mike yelling. He...or his foot rather...found that our guest bath toilet had been slowly overflowing. All. Night. The entire bathroom, along with some walls, most of the hallway, the hall closet, and the entry way were flooded with *gag* toilet water. So, Mike totally took control and utilized his fix-n-flip prowess/tools to start the cleanup while we waited for the carpet crew. They came, took up the carpet, took out the padding, and completely disinfected the area. They then placed a massive fan that allows for very little conversation in the hallway and said "See you Monday," at which point they will replace the padding.
Awesome.
So we left for the used book sale at the Denver Public Library and enjoyed a fantastic salad and perusal through Cherry Creek Mall. As Mike said, the rest of the day was only going to get better.
He was right.

All in a day's work
The great thing about grand opening's at dealerships is the food is always good! Fortunately Reina was there to keep me company (and sane). Great Thursday evening, and surprisingly good wine (complete with plastic wine glasses = awesome).

Dr. Strangelove
Hail. There was also a tornado in Denver. Several actually. I've been having the weirdest week.

If I could, I would make the perfect music video for this song. Every time I hear it, I see it. I wish, just for a day, I could be a film maker. It would be amazing.

Go Away or I Shall Taunt You a Second Time
Inagural Ladies Who Lunch at Crepes & Crepes, where we made up new lives in which we were very rich and worthy of ridiculously large sunglasses and neon pink stilletos (to feel like we fit in at Cherry Creek). Amber was a lesbian talk-show host, I was the incredibly large-chested actress on haitus for personal reasons, and Jen was the inventor of colored staples. She later changed her life to something a little more scandalous, but nonetheless amusing, as she was jealous of mine and Amber's risque-ness. We rock.
