I've fallen in love with the yarn wreath craze. So I decided to make one to welcome guests to their room during their stay at our house!
I found the wreath at a thrift store (still in the wrapping - this is important) as well as a fascinating key holder, both for $4.50. I took the hooks off the key holder and painted it black with paint I already had. Fortunately, I have tons of yarn collected since I started crocheting, so I used a skein of yellow to cover it.
Next, 3 sheets of felt for .25 cents each, and some leftover velvet ribbon from when I covered the lampshade in the guest room. So for less than $7, I have a great homemade welcome to my guest room! A great Sunday project.
