Org meeting Thursday during the worst week in our history at Ford. We found this on Ryan's desk...

The note says: "Mad at world. Left early. See you tomorrow."

K.J.W.

It took me 25 years to find a lisence plate with my exact initials. In less than 2 months, they won't be my initials anymore.

Opinions Please

Alright, Mom - this means you too. What should I do with the reception bubbles? I could decopauge them with book pages and then tie ribbon, all of which I already have. Or I could order labels to match the invitations (which should be here by this weekend, just in case you were freaking out). Thoughts? Opinions? Dire disagreements? I just need to know how to make these things fit! Since sparklers are right out (thanks, DFD).

Snail Mail

The problem (one of the many) with traveling is that mail kind of backs up. But this just proves you never know what the ol' mailman is going to bring you...

Capital One - they screw up your credit report, make you call India and three different clerks to fix their mistake, and then they mail you a check for fifty cents. Who knows why.

Letter from Small Red Flower! Yay!

Aaaaaaaaaaaand WHAT?! I am NOT old enough to be getting one of these! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Do you see what I see?

Sweet potatoes, leeks, strawberries, cobalt, Sailor Moon on DVD, my favorite self-portrait, roadtrip, and my current read (Stephanie's blog).

Yum.

Anatomy of wedding decor

Blatant wedding planning notes for Moom...

I cut the tips of the large flower, but didn't on the smaller ones. I like the way they turned out without cutting the tips cause they look more like flowers. But the large hanging flowers look good with various tips!

Supposed to use 8 sheets on the large one; I think it needs to be doubled to 16 sheets to make it as full as the original photo indicates...

Wii would like to play!

Finally, some Wii action photos as I'm probably the LAST person to take pictures of some. Honestly, I think it's a little overrated. But the evening with Mrs. & Mrs. Townsend was fantastic!

Register: Check

"The only thing I want to scan and it isn't working! Where's the bar code on your butt?!" -Mike

We totally missed the smoothie coupons...but they'll come in handy for cake-tasting next weekend (when I can eat sugar and The Girls are goin' a-tastin'), since they included a 6 inch one for free from the Target bakery! Keep an open mind...

This is harder than it looks...

Chaos

These past two weeks have been pretty stressful for me. Intense preparation, long hours, and traveling with your boss's boss doesn't make for relaxing evenings, much less avid exploration. Fortunately for you (and my principals, as I thought I was going to have to skip a few days' worth of pictures), I stumbled upon this intoxicating artist through one of my favorite webcomics (undirectly, but it works). So enjoy these amazing pastels (I never knew I could like the medium so much!), and know that I'll do better next week (sanz so many paranthetical statements)!

The Fiesta Movement

Are you young, technologically savvy, and a socially active consumer? Are you interested in being given a Ford Fiesta for a free extended test-drive?

You should say yes to at least one of the above statements, 'cause this car IS FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!!

During this several month period, Ford is trying a completely new marketing campaign in which "Fiesta Movement Agents" will be very active in exposing the Fiesta to both their local and online social networks and communities (and will drive a FREE car for as long as they love it!).

Want to apply? You should if you're not a complete noob. Click to apply, and if you are selected and I know you, I get to borrow it for a day! ;-)

One of Motor Trend’s Gotta Have Cars for 2010, the Ford Fiesta will make a bold statement on the American road. This is your chance to drive the international model here before its official US debut. We’re looking for an elite crop of drivers to take the wheel: people with a strong presence on the web, an ability to craft a compelling story through video, and a hunger for adventure. As a driver, you’ll receive monthly secret assignments from Ford Mission Control that will take you to places you’ve never been, to meet people you’ve never met, and to experiences you’ll never forget. And you’ll bring your friends and followers along for the ride.

Each car comes with free gas, free insurance, and full concierge service for the duration of the vehicle’s six month stay.

Many will apply. Only 100 will be handed keys. Show us you’ve got what it takes to join the Fiesta Movement.
