Freecycle FTW (again). Someone quickly picked up this TV stand that once acted as a workout station (so fun to see how much the basement has evolved!). I LOVE what I came up with for that...
And then, after swiping one of the white shelves to use with the DVD storage hidden next to the TV (gotta love when an unplanned plan comes together), I posted the rest of the pieces. Gone the next day.

And while we're getting all nostalgic
I was inspired by Pinterest to arrange my remaining beloved stuffed animals (you can see them clumped on the shelf) together, reading a fav childhood book, as a display in my newly redecorated (photos to come) basement. But the suitcase was my own twist (since I had it).
I originally didn't have an overall theme for the basement redo, besides as cheaply as possible (hence the Freecyle furniture). But one this little display happened, it quickly became "Things That Make Me Happy". I can tell you where each of these animals came from, what I was feeling when they were purchased or given, and why they remain so special. Every time I look at them I am reminded.
It makes me happy.

Seed Beads
One of my best friends from college lived on my floor while I was an RA. She would come down and we would hang out in my room and just chill. One time, we were trying to make necklaces out of seed beads and somehow they went everywhere. I was picking them up for weeks! But for whatever reason at the time we thought this was the funniest thing on the planet!
So when I found those exact same beads almost 10 years later as I cleaned out basement biz, I sent her the photo and exclaimed I couldn't believe I stil had them (and not all over the floor!). It gave me the warm-fuzzies!

Silsa
We walked past this store and Mike said "Text you sister and tell her that Tilly's opened up a retail establishment and is doin' just fine in the afterlife."
So I did.
So I did.

OCD
I cannot even begin to tell you how crazy the different color hangers make me. However, after the massive amount of purging/organization, not to mention shelving money, that has already gone into storing clothing, I think I'm cut off from closet organization spending fora while...
I kind of want to take a photo to ensure appreciation for my massive organization skills. But that would also include showing just how insanely large my wardrobe is...
You should've seen the bags I got rid of!

Spring Cleaning
I was going through my paper files and purging when I came across the receipt, brochure, and all the paperwork for my high school class ring.
You read that right.
Now I have to actually find it!

Snow Day
We all rested up from biz (and I tried to get over what would turn out to be a three week cold...not even kidding you), while enjoying some iPads, baking, 8 Can Taco Soup, and Netflix movies. Couldn't have asked for more.

Downtown
Of course, we had to make our yearly trek to Bistro Vendome and the Tattered Cover, where we discovered that the place of our wedding, the second story, no longer exised.
Hurtie heart!
We also finally visited Mid, Mod & More Market, and discovered The Source! It was a day chock full of adventure and food!

They Have Arrived!
Mimi and Poppy are finally here for their annual Spring Break Denver Visit! We took them to the Cheese Importers for a light breakfast and what was the most incredible Lavender Mocha in the history of coffee beverages.
After a jaunt downtown, a drive through Old Town, and a stop at Serendipity, we at at Georgia Boys BBQ, where my parents were incredulous I would claim to eat the best BBQ ever.
They reluctantly agreed!
A fun-filled five days awaits!

Made My Morning
Nar at 5am: Is the vest too much?
Me: Nope. Not at all. Here's what's really funny:
Nar: Hahahaha! We're Vesties! :-)

Cheap < Free
I posted on Freecycle on Friday night that I needed metal filing cabinets and a dresser for my craft area redo. By this afternoon Mike had helped me pick up all three from various donors from Boulder to Northglenn. Freecycle never ceases to amaze me.
Appreciate the before photos - these are perfect for the projects in my minds eye!
Also...appreciate the Keebs.
