Daniel asked me recently who my closest Christian friend was. Besides Stephanie & Preeti, who remain mysterious in Texas, I had to go with Ryan. We've been best buds since I got here, helping each other through our opposite-sex dramas by providing both an opposite and hopefully godly view, along with gritching buddies when it comes to work sometimes.
I was commizerating with him recently on how badly I wanted to be kissed. Not just kissed, but kissed by someone I felt something for. I'm not a big fan of randomly making out with people. "And I want a guy who likes me to buy me a stuffed animal!" I blurted.
"What?! Why?!" Ryan responded, incredulous. I explained to him that I'd asked for one before, just something to hug when the guy I liked wasn't there. I was told that was "silly," and never did receive any form of stuffed cuteness. Jerk.
So, along with the liplock, I want one NOW!
I came into work this morning, and this was on my desk:
I am lurved!

Wine cork collection
I often walk from my hotel to P.F. Chang's in downtown Boise to sit at the bar and read or write in my journal during a fantastic meal. I've met not a few people there, including Justin, the bartender. I finished off a bottle of Petit Shiraz the last time I was there, and asked for the cork. He asked me when I'd be back, and said that he'd save all of them for me.
Needless to say, I had a very large bag of wine corks coming back from Boise this trip! I love having friends across the country! And I love when I walk outside to snow.

Oh Poppy
Dad dancing with the clamp at Home Depot. It was one of the many prop uses he found for it...laughing as we went!

Merry November!
Colin & Jen brought over a bountiful casserole which we ate on my NEVER BEEN USED Christmas dishes! It was a moment...
Then Jen surprised me with a present under my early tree (my parents are coming to visit next weekend, hence me jumpin' on it). She gave me this card with a cartoon of smiling Miso soup (which we always get when we have sushi) that says "Miso happy to have you!" Mitoo.

What child is this?
When I was little, my sister, my dad, and I would sleep under the Christmas tree the first night we had it up. I used to love to look up into the branches to see the lights and the colors. It makes me wonder if I will ever do the same with a child of mine.

Flashback
So today was incredibly pictureless. I fell asleep in the sun. I cleaned my apartment. I watched a movie or two. But I saw this picture, and remembered how much I loved it. So I'm using it for today.
Isn't it funny how misleading pictures can be? It's beautiful and happy and completely opposite to the weekend I was having then. Oh well!
Thnks fr th mmrs.

Memory Lane
When I was little, we used to eat at this dive burger joint in Pantego called Jackson's. Their burgers were fanfreakintastic. But my favorite part about eating there was the pinball machine. I could watch my dad play pinball for hours. He had this amazing ability to keep that ball in play for what seemed like forever. I would hold my breath as he'd let the ball almost fall into the black hole between the pins and just when I thought it was lost forever, he'd pop those buttons and that silver orb would go flying into some plastic mouth, or spaceship, or mini-ferris wheel, causing my sister and I to be in awe of the flashing lights and extra turns he'd win. It's a magic machine.

Taste the Rainbow
My mom says I take really good pictures. And my dad checks my photo blog every day.
I think that's really all that matters.
