Perks
Mike's girls and their parents bought us a picnic basket and filled it with goodies as a thank you for the past few months of the soccer season (and the fact he probably sees them more than he does me).
I thought it was the sweetest thing ever, until I saw that it included a Happy Sumo gift certificate! And then I was just verklempt...

Rachel Turns Legit!
Really, there are no words. It was such a blast!
Prom pose.
I had no idea what this book said...
It ended up being pretty funny.
It should be noted the next two go together, and that these two are married. Which makes it even funnier.
Last call! Rachel was awesome - what a great way to start your 21st year, surrounded with laughter and love!

The Color Run 2012
How appropriate that my first 5K be to benefit Colorado Children's Hospital. And what a way to run! I was so proud as my entire goal was to finish the race running, which is exactly what I did. The first two kilometers (orange and blue) were the most difficult. But after that, yellow and green went by in a flash!
I met Heidi at her house and we arrived at City Park around 8am, along with the rest of Denver, apparently. We started out so sparkling clean...
City Park was beautiful. It couldn't have been better weather - 65 degrees and sunny!
Also, just a note: I don't care what size or gender you are, short white running shorts are never a good idea. Especially with a black thong. Just. Sayin'. You're not fooling anyone.
At the starting line - let the color commence!!!
After the race, but still pre-color corral.
In the midst of the color corral!
Epic.
This guy made a lot of people laugh...
We win!
It took at least 30 minutes to just get all the powder off. Brownest shower ever!

This is an exact translation of a text conversation between Karley, my Gran, and me. Outstanding.
Gran: or spray paint a very bright royal blue design on your neighbors brick wall that you have to have sandblasted to remove (you might ask your precious mom what she remembers about that)
Nar: Oh the endless reasons not to reproduce.
Speaking of, Mom...I think you have a story to tell! ;-)
Don't you just love it when your parents get iPhones?
Gran: (including this internet photog of a puppy being bad)
Your dogs would never be so bad, right??
Nar: (this is her dog)
Maggie prefers Kleenex
Me:
Keebler prefers to pull pillows off the couch and chew them up.
Nar: That's classic.
Gran: Oh my!!!
Me: They will never, however, take a permanent marker to the walls. Just sayin'.
Nar: Touche, excellent point.Gran: or spray paint a very bright royal blue design on your neighbors brick wall that you have to have sandblasted to remove (you might ask your precious mom what she remembers about that)

Ryan brought me an office pet! He will be on a strict diet of leftover tea. Not sure what to name him?

Girls Day Out/In
We sat in the sun, ate bad food, and made margs. And might've induldged in some puppy love...
But then the guys showed up for FPU and it all went downhill from there...

It's Tradition
Mike pointed out to me that we've actually gone to a Rapids game every year since we started dating...he was so excited about I thought he'd reverted back to being 12. Super cute.

Disenchantment
I've been following this blog for years, love the quirky nature and kooky little ideas. But when I turned the magazine page to find this, I couldn't help but feel sold out. Does that make me emo?
Really?! A tampon ad? C'mon, Katie.

Home Office
I'm working from home for the next three days to save money on gas. Home made lunch at its best (complete with kale chips and strawberry/goat cheese/spinach salad- yuuuuuum).
