Dwell
If I had all the money in the world (and some semblance of justification) I'd purchase every single piece ever made by Dwell Studio for Target. Alas, I don't have the funds (nor the bedrooms) to support such an endeavor. But it really does make my day when I find bits and pieces at thrift stores! Between several shams and now this enviable throw pillow, I've got myself a little piece of gently-used Dwell Heaven. And since Heidi pointed out this little gem came with a removable cover (I almost didn't take it due to some concern over this) I was able to wash the thing and now it's like new, perched on Mike's and my pillows.
So perf.

Hat Trick
I found this hat at Goodwill (it was actually new from Target who donates what they don't sell to the organization) for $6. I absolutely loved everything about it except for the cheesy plastic cheetah print belt sewn around the small brim.
So, I took one of the leftover ends of the myriad ties from my tie skirt, and made a new decorative addition! I actually sewed it in 4 places (including the vintage button), but I'm now wishing I'd sewn the two ends together and added velcro so I could swap out different colors (since the collection of ties is so incredibly massive). I might be re-doing it eventually.
If Ford ever goes under, I think I have a fine future in millinery waiting for me. Just sayin'.

Also, apologies for the crappy photos - my camera is dead and I keep forgetting to charge it. The Blackberry takes sub par photogs...

iPad
Don't get excited yet...I'm not opening it until I get the case from Amazon! But months of savings and some extra blow money from Christmas has finally put an iPad in my hands! No more shlepping around the work Dell laptop when I globe hop! ;-)
So heppey!

Reclaimed Space
I ran across this company in a book at a store in Santa Fe and just now remembered to look them up. Incredible.

This week's thrift store finds
Such awesome clothes! Ah...it's been a while...
Vintage 1970s red coat with big-arse buttons!
INcredibly Chinese fluffy coat. I can't do this thing justice.
J.Crew linen dress that seriously makes me look tiny (motivator to keep off that weight!).
Sweet cream spring jacket, angora/cashmere sweater, Elie Tahari skirt, two more incredible skirts, and jackets/shirts that actually match!
Heaven.

V-Day ensemb complete with red tights and a home-made Valentines necklace made by Mimi! Despite being teased the entire day by all the guys I work with, it was totally worth it!
