We stayed in a suite at the El Rey, an easy drive to downtown, just off the main road (Cerillos). The grounds were incredible, and the history leaves nothing to want. Very comfortable rooms, and for the price? Unbeatable.
Love the white stucco.
And the Mexican Indian themed additions to the gardens.
Such a fun, funky place. It's a total bummer they don't take Konas and Keebs!
Mom & I loved these vibrant bushes, walking to our first in a series of thrift store stop.s
So, thrifting was actually a bit disappointing in Santa fe, outside of the incredible Double Take. An old Coca-Cola plant has been filled with used delights from mens, women's and kid's clothing, vintage furniture, art, and housewares, to a room full of high end vintage clothing, jewelry, furs, and shoes. It was the most incredible store I've ever seen.
Since I was so overwhelmed with the awesomeness, I failed to take any photos. But I did take one of the cool tile at the coffee shop across the street. It was a very coffee intensive weekend.
