This was a photo snapped of my great-grandad on the street by a news photographer.  They really knew how to dress back then.  Isn't he handsome?  My Gran texted it to us.  I can't wait til I finally have an iPhone too!!!

Needful Things

We had big. fat snowflakes rain down on us this afternoon.  It was incredible.

Keebler hates it when I work on sewing projects in the basement...I'm so close, yet so very far (the dogs aren't allowed down here).

Westminster Hills

We finally took the plunge and took the dogs to Westminster's off-leash dog park.  It's not really a dog park, but more a massive amount of fenced-off open space.  Over 400 acres to be exact.  I had to fight myself on the inside not to completely freak out at the thought that they could start running and I'd never see them again.  But both dogs were absolutely amazing.

Not surprisingly, Keebler was the better of the two at staying closer to us.  But the furthest Kona got was 200 yards and he would look back, realize how far he was, and turn around to come closer to where we were.  Both dogs always wanted us in sight, and neither one caused any issues with other pups on the trailer - including our friend's dogs.

It was beautiful.

I was inspired by this post in A Beautiful Mess to liven up my coffee routine.  And by liven up, I mean make one.  So I laid out and organized using things I already have, and I'm quite pleased with my little caffeine space.  Sometimes it's the little things.

A friend of mine got stuck with a bunch of guys at their house playing video games.  She was terrified to go into the bathroom for fear of how nasty it would be.  Surprisingly, the bathroom was clean...it was the company that prompted her to send me this:

The Colored Chalk Man

Found out this week that I suffered my first migraine shortly after returning from Houston.  It wasn't the pain so much as the constant dizziness that really got to me, especially considering it just wouldn't stop.  I'd like to apologize now to all the people who, prior to this week, I thought were making it up.  Seriously.  I am so sorry.

In the meantime, Mike sent me this e-mail.  I want to be this guy.

Preeti's Wedding Day

Preeti was married today in a beautiful ceremony at Chateau Cocomar.  Such a day filled with biz and stress and emotional and wonderfulness!  I'm so incredibly touched to have been a part.  And while my photography might've been lacking, I feel like these few shots I was able to squeeze in show just what a fun group of bride/bridesmaids we had that day.  Can't wait to see what the photographer has in store!

PBJ's Gettin' Hitched!

Once again, the problem with being IN the wedding is not taking pictures OF the wedding biz.  This is the only shot I got from the rehearsal and dinner (which was at a Chinese Buffet.  Seriously.  How incredible is that?!)

Late Night H.E.B.

Mike and I landed in Houston over an hour late, and with the time change and general weather change, we were tired and starving.  So we ventured to the HEB right down from our hotel (which was awesome).  An hour and a half of gawking and overall wishing I didn't have a bridesmaid dress to fit in and healthy weight goals, we walked out with salads.  Some mimosa goods for Readying of the Bridesmaids on Saturday.  And a bunch of wine.

Very dog-intensive, lately, I know.  We're really happy to be home.

DNA

Nar & Du bought Mike/me and my parents each a DNA test to determine what we mean exactly when we say Kona's a mutt.  We're so excited to see the results now that they've received our sample, I sent the initial countdown to all involved.  Just a couple more weeks and we'll know what the heck had to happen to make Kona such an amazing animal!

Keebs is next.  I wonder how they get demon DNA?

Behavioral Training

So, people aren't the only ones who have personal issues...as it turns out, Keebler has a very high level of anxiety, and views me as the ultimate resource.  Therefore, he guards me against Kona, all other dogs, and even some people.  Even when he doesn't need to.

We're headed to work through our issues.  It's like therapy.  With intense levels leg-lifting and a propensity to mark.

Skinny Taste

It's so much easier to eat healthy when I have a good meal to look forward to at the end of the day.  And Mike is awesome at that.  Especially thanks to Men's Health recipes and Skinny Taste.  The latter's cilantro chicken salad is displayed below...right before I snarfed it down!

Bulbous

The flower bulb Corrie and Bobby gave my for my birthday finally bloomed!  Totally worth the wait.
