An Easy Out

The whole point of going to Niwot was to make an easy getaway where we actually take it easy.  The problem with home days is that I always have projects or ideas or biz and it's difficult for me to just stop and be restful.  Today was that day...even if it was more biz than initially planned!

We ate lunch at the Cheese Emporium.  Not our first time there, but our first time for a meal!  It was amazing...

After that, we went to Serendipity and Target.  Then had a super relaxing afternoon back at the Inn! The grand staircase...

We ate dinner at Treppeda's for dinner and had THE best lasagna I have ever tasted (sans marinara)!
And looked good doin' it, too. :-)

PHX Day 1!

We ventured for brunch at Morning Glory Patio at The Farm.  So lovely, but the food was truly incredible!

Happy Birthday, Meke!

My crafty parents made each of us a place holder at the table for while we were home for Christmas! :)

 For his birthday, Mike wanted to have a Movie Day at Studio Move Grill.  We enjoyed Catching Fire, Anchorman 2 ("enjoyed" might be a stretch on that one) and finally (our fav) The Desolation of Smaug.

The evening we ventured forth to Mexican Inn with the 'rents, and then received some epic cheese plate paraphernalia for Mike's birthday as well!

A Very Quivas Christmas 2013

This is our new Clayton Christmas tradition started last year.  We get gussied, head to Via Toscana, and then head home to open presents by the light of the Christmas tree!

This year we added a very nice bottle of mead thanks to Meadery of the Rockies.  It was insanely tasty.  We'd been saving the best (and last) bottle from our 2013 Palisade trip for a special occasion.  This seemed appropo.

Because nothing says "Happy Thanksgiving" like an overpriced hot dog with coconut relish and 80% humidity.

 Ok, but in all seriousness, it was one of the best Polish links I'd ever had.

 Once again at Poipu Village.  We pretty much live there.  Which was actually an amazing thing...come Black Friday we got 50% off just about everything we wanted.  I would try to convey the awesomeness of our take-home finds...but it's just not possible.  Even with 1001 words.
