Here's your sign
One side said "Obama is from Kenya". The other, and my personal fav, "Bill Clinton rapes gals". Only in Boulder.

Lost & Found
I found these pictures on my camera from right before our dear friends the Kainz left for L.A. It's times like these that I really miss them; they had about the same patience for stupid people we do. Which was -2. We get along well.

Chrome
Carp introduced me to a (short-lived) stint with Chrome on my work laptop. I think what I loved most about it was the customizable themes! Every time I look at my computer I smile...

Drive-In
Mike and I decided to go on an in-town adventure. We ate at a local steak house in the middle of nowhere Commerce City, Gala Gardens. They don't even have a website I can link to. It's that kind of place. The waitress asked us where we were from, it was so obvious we weren't regulars.
They had yard art. In the restaurant. I was on the verge of laughing pretty much the entire night. Who uses cream cheese in Chile Relleno?! REALLY?!
This Big Guy is a staple at the joint. George I think? Anyway, he watched us eat the entire time. Creepy fish.
After that, we went to 88th St. Drive In to see the Bourne Legacy. Perhaps the fact that cars aren't built like they used to be (meaning Serenity would turn off power every 20 minutes to save battery when we needed the radio to hear the movie), or maybe it was our fellow clientel and poor radio reception. But I think we've had enough drive-in movies for a long while.
Live & learn, right?

Team-Building
Today we spent our morning sorting medical equipment (which was the team I was since we first started working with Project Cure until today) and loading mundled equipment into a shipping truck to be send to Africa.
Go Team C.
When we started, this thing was empty. When we were finished, you couldn't fit another syringe in there.
Step Child put the whole thing together, as usual. He has a heart for Africa (despite needing SPF Red Head any time he looks at the sun).
Partial Team Denver!

Buffet
No pressure when you're trying to pick a place for lunch for 20 people - all with varying degrees of health-consciousness - while sticking to a ludicrous travel budget and time crunch and herding a bunch of cats in khakis.
Mirage Buffet.
I win.
Mirage Buffet.
I win.

Almost like you were there
My cohort JB from the office couldn't make it to our one-night Vegas meeting due to his second-born arriving any minute. So, to make him feel like he was a part of it, too, I monologued his trip, complete with photographic visuals.
"You're heading down the strip now - Excalibur makes you feel like a kid."
"Grammes says hi."
"We wait in line just to wait in another line. Longest. Check-in. Ever."
"The Mirage is pretty!"
"And of course, the Blue Suits unite."
He said he almost felt like he was there...almost. :-)

Goin' to the Dog Park...Yeah.
Trying out our new puppy hammock in the backseat of Serenity. It's a perf fit, but I have absolutely no idea what I was thinking getting DVD headrests in this vehicle. They're just beggin to be slobbered on.

Dollar Shave Club
The best thing to happen to Mike's face since I kissed him on the cheek when we first started dating and he couldn't string a coherent sentence together for ten minutes.

Dark Chocolate Reeses
I'm constantly asking if people have chocolate in the office, knowing every time they don't (we're an incredibly healthy bunch).
But today, Grammes snuck into my cube and put one of these on my desk.
Epic.

Repair Kit
So far, this is the best piece of advice I've come across in the seven books I checked out about backpacking from the library. Yes, physical books. From the library. I'm so vintage.

Taste of Colorado
To quote an oft used saying by my dad, "Been there, done that.". Left the t-shirts with the dregs of society this event somehow brings out in full force. We won't be doing that again anytime soon.
