Jing

We decided to spend New Year's at what they are claiming was the "largest party in Colorado".  Called The Champaign Hotel, the Hyatt Regency in DTC was taken over by multiple bands and DJs, as well as very nicely dressed (albeit sometimes hilariously scantily) young professionals.  We got our tickets early, so we were "Ultra VIP" which, surprisingly, was actually as big a deal as it sounds!

But prior to, we ran over to a new restaurant called Jing, swanky Asian fare.  The best part was the "Buddah Bud" we all tried beforehand.  This little flower in my hand does crazy things to one's mouth.  It was a whole new experience, which we all know I'm all about!

How appropo

Mike and I have been sitting on the couch/comfy chair respectively, playing Magna Carta 2 and doing absolutely nothing.  It's been heavenly.  In my perusings of the interwebs, I found Multiplex, this addicting new comic centered around a movie theater and its employees!  Can't get enough!

Also, I think we might've found our home today! :-)

We left snow in Texas to come back to snow in Colorado. It's amazing how used to it you get!

Happy Birthday, Love!

For his birthday, all Mike wanted was to go to Cinebarre and watch movies and eat ALL day!  So we analyzed the schedule, picked 4 movies, and off we went!

They changed the schedule.

But we pressed on, and still went to see two excellent flicks (Invictus and Avatar) as well as enjoy some of the best burgers and fries in Colorado!  Top it with some cherry pie and lots of love and it turned out to be an awesome day for us both!

So, we decide to head to Boulder for a party with Tim, Alicia, & Lep.  We're passing downtown to park at Lep's place, and Mike says "Why don't we just stay at the Hotel Boulderado?"  I love this hotel, but due to the astronomically expensive rooms, we've never stayed there.  So I call, and ask on the off-hand chance they have a room.  Not only do they, but they're HALF of what they normally charge because it's 10 pm!  We get there, and it's beautifully decorated for Christmas, Mike gets us free parking via an awesome parallel parking job, and they've upgraded us to a suite!  It was the start of an amazing adventure!

Very pleased with ourselves on our hotel find! :-D
